- No longer store name of build script, or pathname of build directory in the build script segment.
- Track library descriptor associated with each build directory.
- Track update_seg log directory associated with each build directory.  This is often tied to the library descriptor, but not always.
- Track progress through major phases of the build:  developing, auditing, installing
  - Use start-up requests tailored to needs of the current phase.
- Track names of developer, auditor, installer in the build script file.
- Track MCR number and installation ID associated with the build directory.
- Track broader development status (detailed notes) in a new section of the build script.
- Monitor changes in the build environment occurring while mbuild is running (working directory, translator search paths, library descriptor, and updates to the build script segment done via an external editor).
