Description
Recent use of analyze_multics to investigate the problem resolved by MCR10093 (Fix move_non_perm_wired_segs.pl1) uncovered some needs for improving or adding azm requests. These needs are summarized briefly below.
analyze_multics (azm) should include new requests to:
- display contents of a core_map entry (cme)
- display contents of a segment loader table entry (slte)
- check contents of SST and core_map against a rigorous set of rules supposedly implemented by page control and its supporting routines.
The existing aste request should be enhanced to select the aste for display based upon:
- offset of ASTE within the SST segment.
- offset of a PTW within the SST or unpaged_page_tables segments
It currently allows selection based upon supervisor segname or seg_number.
