Description (last modified by )
Because the default linker search paths include a broad set of Multics software, tools, commands, and administrative programs and scripts, there seems to be a general consensus that >doc>privileged (which documents many of the programs in the >tools directory) should be included in the default "info" search paths. The current default linker search paths are shown below.
psp linker
linker
-initiated_segments
-referencing_dir
-working_dir
system_library_standard
system_library_unbundled
system_library_1
system_library_tools
system_library_network
system_library_auth_maint
The current default info search paths are shown below.
psp info
info
>doc>iml_info
>doc>info
>doc>aml_info
I recommend adding >doc>privileged after >doc>info in the default info search paths shown above.
One could argue that since >standard_library_network is included in the default linker search paths, its info segment directory should also be included in the default info search paths: >doc>net
I am not sure there is general consensus on this point, however.

The consensus on functioning and support of the network library having been reached, I also suggest that the network library be added to the default info search paths. The order of paths would be:
psp info info >doc>iml_info >doc>info >doc>privileged >doc>network >doc>aml_info
